Los Milagros is only a 20 minute drive from Malaga airport (not on the flight path) and conveniently located near the main Malaga road but enjoys a private and peaceful location. The house is nestled on a hillside with no neighbours and is located on a three quarter acre plot of orange and lemon trees. There are avocado trees and vines and visitors are welcome to help themselves to the fruit when in season.

There are excellent front line views from all the terraces. The river Gualdahorce borders its land and attracts a haven of wildlife. Eagles, hawks and herons are often viewed from the roof terrace. The house comfortably sleeps 6 and comprises of 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, divided by a lounge that offers excellent views of the surrounding countryside. The 8x4 metre mosaic swimming pool has recently benefited from a complete refurbishment and has been redesigned with large Roman style terraced steps offering a shallow area for youngsters and non swimmers.

These oranges and lemons were collected one glorious January morning.

There is nothing like freshly squeezed orange juice just minutes after collecting them

The small well equipped town of Cartama Estacion is less than a five minute drive away and has numerous bars and affordable restaurants. Marbella is a forty minute drive away and those in search of nightlife can visit Coin (approx. 20 minutes drive)

A visit to our local restaurant Venta Tintero Compero (a few minutes walk) is highly recommended. In the evening you can enjoy a quiet family meal, but on sundays the venta becomes alive and is renowned throughout the costa del sol for its "marching plates". Over a thousand people come to this unique restaurant on a Sunday, where there is no ordering, you simply point to any of the dishes being paraded by the waiters and your bill is calculated by counting the empty dishes. For a group of people this is a dining experience not to be missed.

Los Milagros offers a relaxing quiet holiday and is an ideally located base for those wishing to sight see. The historic town of Ronda is commutable and the beautiful beach and promenade of Malaga is less than 30 minutes drive.

A car is required and competitive rates are available through the internet at one of the many car hire companies based at Malaga airport.

There are an abundance of golf courses within easy traveling distance

We have had a wonderful 2 weeks, no problems. The property has behaved itself. The general area is very Spanish, as you would expect and this, in contrast to the coastal strip, is welcome. Estacion De Cartama Sunday Market was good for fruit and vegetables. The Restaurant across the road was a great hit and the food was very good. The main A357 road down to Malaga is good and gets you to Mivas and Nerja and other places of interest. We have driven almost 100 km in the time here so have been all around. We note your comment on local bird life and can confirm:- swallows, swifts, martins, white egrets in the trees below, what looked like a harrier or buzzard and in the early evening the song of nightingales from the undergrowth below. At night you can hear the bark of foxes. The juicer was popular and the oranges small and very sweet. All in all a most enjoyable stay in your Finca Rustica. Many thanks for the Welcome Pack – most useful. Wishing you all the best with Los Milagros (The Miracles).

Thank you so much for the ‘loan' of Los Milagros for the last 2 weeks. We have had an absolutely fabulous holiday in your secluded retreat. The surrounding views of the mountains are spectacular and we have enjoyed watching the sunset from the roof terrace. The children have enjoyed identifying all the different planes, counting the carriages on the trains, picking and squeezing lemons and especially finding lizards that seem to appear late in the afternoon. However of course the biggest attraction has been the fabulous pool where we have spent most of our time cooling off as it has been extremely hot (39 C). Again the views from the pool are breathtaking and couldn't be bettered …….. so relaxing. On the days when we have managed to drag ourselves away from Los Milagros we have explored most of the coastline. Malaga – much more interesting than we had expected, especially the shopping area near the Cathedral. Nerja – the Caves 4km to the east are well worth a visit. The Lakes – spectacular and un-commercialised. Hiring a peddalo and swimming was great fun. The Restaurant above the lake was open all day and not too pricy. Puerto Banus – the yachts were unbelievable! Marbella – the old town was fascinating. On our second visit we managed to park on the road. We seem to have spent quite a lot on car parks in Spain! Mijas – in the summer months you can see a display of Spanish dancing (3 girls and 1 man) every Wednesday at 12 noon in the main square. This was very entertaining and the show lasted about 45 minutes. We feel quite at home here and can't wait to come back! This welcome pack was especially useful, especially the tea and butter! Thanks for a great holiday! The games were also a great hit – we're addicted to ‘Pitt'!!

Fabulous 3 weeks, villa very private, pool used all day, never went far from the pool. Son and daughter-in-law and baby Grace joined us for the last 2 weeks. Grace loved the pool, she is 14 months and loved her holiday. Many thanks.
